ABOUT

"Teacher Sawsan" has been an educator for over 20 years, serving both as a full-time teacher and as the founder of the Sawsan Hamid Tutoring Services. This center provides a welcoming space for tutoring and community events. Tutoring is offered in a variety of subjects, primarily the Arabic language and Math, after school and on the weekends. Students are supported and elevated here, through a dedicated network of volunteers (many of whom are former students of Hamid).

Tutoring

We provide supportive tutors to improve students' skills in a variety of subjects, primarily the Arabic language and Math. Tutoring services are offered after school twice a week and every weekend throughout the school year.

Field Trips

Once a year, we bring together all of our students for a fun and educational excursion. Past trips have included the Diyanet Center of America and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Workshops

This space is always utilized to benefit the community. Sister organizations and student groups use the office for meetings, as well as workshops that everyone can take advantage of.
